Update on coronavirus COVID-19 and multiple sclerosis The MS Society’s medical advisors have today (6 March 2020) released the following statement concerning coronavirus COVID-19. The MS Trust welcomes this statement which clarifies some of the issues relating to risk of infection for people taking one of the disease modifying treatments. This advice may change as new information becomes available. I was diagnosed in 1999 with multiple sclerosis and relapse. A few months later my neurologist prescribed me with meferon. This was at a time when interferon supplies were in short supply and many patients were forced to live without it, so naturally I was very grateful to receive it.
