What is Myelin? Myelin is a protective coating around the nerves in the brain and the spinal cord. It is the primary target of the immune attack in multiple sclerosis.
Think Roar is a community-based association aiming to support patients - as well as their families and friends - affected by auto-immune diseases. Whether the diagnosis is multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vitiligo, type I diabetes, celiac disease, sarcoidosis, or many others, our common battle is in taming our unruly antibodies. We are rebellious Roarers who refuse to be restricted by our immune’s system’s imperfections. We attempt to bring a constructive, positive and encouraging attitude to deal with our daily struggles. Proceeds are donated to carefully selected patient associations and research centers.

I was diagnosed in 1999 with multiple sclerosis and relapse. A few months later my neurologist prescribed me with meferon. This was at a time when interferon supplies were in short supply and many patients were forced to live without it, so naturally I was very grateful to receive it. I just followed the instructions and took it religiously three times a week. I was injecting myself on Monday and Friday and after a while and it became second nature.
